Refrigerator Note Led To Arrest In Brutal Killing Of Mother

A refrigerator letter led to the arrest of Orsolya Gaal’s accused killer in Queens, New York.

“Get a new handyman,” the message added, disclosing a detail about the worker with whom she had supposedly had an affair before her death.

So far as authorities could ascertain, the old handyman was 44-year-old David Bonola, who was nabbed for the heinous murder early Thursday morning.

He admitted to stabbing Gaal 59 times, packing her corpse into a hockey bag, and abandoning her near her home at the edge of a park, according to police. On Thursday afternoon, it was unclear whether he had retained legal counsel.

Bonola has been in the United States unlawfully for more than two decades, according to authorities with the New York Police Department.

According to law enforcement authorities, he was in breach of immigration law when he was arrested for Gaal’s heinous murder on Wednesday.
