Congresswoman Desperately Tries To Excite The Crowd At Biden Event

At a President Biden rally on Tuesday, Florida Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz attempted to get the crowd going, pleading with them to “wake up! ”

The first of three events Biden scheduled to hold in the Sunshine State seven days before the midterm elections was the sparsely attended affair at a Hallandale Beach community facility.

Following a brief applause from the audience, the congresswoman and former DNC chair pushed a little more to energize the crowd, with mediocre success.

“C’mon people, let’s wake up! We got the president of the United States in the house! C’mon now! I know you got a little more energy than I hear,” Wasserman Schultz pleaded with the throng while shouting louder and gesturing with her fingers.

Wasserman Schultz’s command caused the audience to get a little more animated, but they soon fell silent once more.

“OK. Thank you very much. That’s the crowd I know. Those are the people I represent. OK. Just wanted to make sure you’re still here.”

Then, as he took the stage, Biden declared that Wasserman Schultz, a member of the House of Representatives, was his “greatest friend in the United States Senate.”

The president discussed Medicare and Social Security-related topics.
