Woke ESPN Preparing For Massive Layoffs

Get woke, go broke?

Perhaps one of the most accurate and pithy statements ever uttered.

And I do believe it was coined by President Trump.

The latest victim?

It appears to be the once-mighty ESPN.

According to information obtained by The Post, layoffs at ESPN have begun and are anticipated to continue through Wednesday.

According to insiders, no on-air “talent” (as media professionals refer to on-air personalities) will be let go this week, but ESPN will reduce its staff in the coming months and years as part of a strategy shift.

According to our sources, the network plans to tighten its belt on individuals making seven figures or more, with a special focus on those making between $2 and $5 million annually.

Lead college football play-by-player Chris Fowler, according to insiders, will remain with the network but will not earn as much as Joe Buck’s $15 million per year.

Currently, layoffs at ESPN are part of Disney CEO Bob Iger’s plan to eliminate 7,000 positions.

ESPN’s chairman, Jimmy Pitaro, has instructed department heads to thoroughly examine their operations.

This round will focus mostly on unknown employees, who are the backbone of what has made ESPN the most dominant sports network for decades.

Do you still watch ESPN?
