Media Sued For Secret Collus

Children’s Health Defense is suing the media companies on antitrust and constitutional grounds against the Associated Press, Reuters, BBC, and The Washington Post in what might be a landmark case.

The complaint is directed at the Trusted News Initiative, a business coalition created in March 2020 to go beyond fake news.

The lawsuit alleges that several Big Tech corporations and TNI media sites colluded or plotted to censor online content, including stories about the COVID-19 epidemic and vaccination as well as publications about the 2020 presidential election.

The launch of TNI in March 2020 coincided with the nationwide suspension of COVID-19. There were historical parallels when Joe Biden distinguished himself from the opposition to earn the Democratic National Committee’s presidential nomination.

On Tuesday night, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the CHD chair and chief litigation counsel, unveiled the lawsuit.

The Truth About Cancer and The Truth About Vaccines authors Ty and Charlene Bollinger, Creative Destruction Media, TrialSite News, independent journalist Ben Swann, and Health Nut News publisher Erin Elizabeth Finn are the other plaintiffs.

The lawsuit asserts that this is an antitrust dispute. This kind of industrial alliance is referred to in federal antitrust law as a collective boycott, and it is a per se violation of the Sherman Act.

The TNI claims in the lawsuit’s executive summary that its goal is to stifle and suppress online news reports that it or any of its members unequivocally regard to be false information.

Members of the TNI have targeted and stifled entirely correct web reporting by non-mainstream news organizations about COVID-19 on subjects like treatments, immunity, lab leaks, vax injuries, lockdowns/mandates, and US elections, including the Hunter Biden laptop case.

The lawsuit claims that, by their own admission, TNI members have committed to collaborate and have already done so in order to block competitor news organizations from publishing content that questions and competes with TNI members’ reporting on certain COVID-19 and American political matters.

In reality, the Trusted News Initiative has banned perfectly accurate and legal news to advance the financial self-interest of its members, despite its claims to be a self-appointed truth police removing internet disinformation.
