The House of Representatives voted 221-210 on Monday evening to remove funding for 87,000 IRS agents.
The so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” provided the IRS with $79.6 billion over the next ten years.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the new IRS army will target the middle and high classes.
According to a new study, the IRS audits the poor at five times the rate of the rest of the population.
The IRS has also a history of targeting conservative organizations.
On Monday night, the House passed its first bill, rescinding money for the 87,000 IRS agents.
“Promises made,” McCarthy stated as he lowered the gavel.

This was our very first act of the new Congress, because government should work for you, not against you.
Promises made. Promises kept.
